The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was established on 31 January 1932 in Mumbai, with the aim of making Indian cricket more professional. To do this, it was decided that a central board would be formed under the control of the government and would control the finances of the sport. This board will also draft the national cricket constitution and allow players to choose their representatives on the board.
